  • Creation of public list of Mapping Sources and satellite images related to a specific event or country
  • Monitoring and extraction of actionable reports from media sources
  • Geo-location of SMS, Twitter Messages, Facebook Messages, E-Mails, Web-Submissions, Media Reports and Voice Messages
  • Translation of SMS, Twitter Messages, Facebook Messages, E-Mails, Web-Submissions, Media Reports and Voice Messages
  • Categorization of SMS, Twiter Messages, Facebook Messages, E-Mails, Web-Submissions, Media Reports and Voice Messages
  • Verification** of the reports created from SMS, Twitter Messages, Facebook Messages, E-Mails, Web-Submissions, Media Reports and Voice Messages with team members on the ground
  • Prioritizing of urgent reports that need immediate attention and their dispatch to specified response POC
  • Creation of periodical reports with detailed analysis of the information coming into the Ushahidi platform

  • Production of printable maps for the responders on the ground
  • Production of lists of GPS coordinates of specific places
  • Search for specific locations
  • Analysis of specific categories or reports
  • Testing of new technologies in this area of work
  • If necessary, facilitating contacts and links to other initiatives and individuals that can provide additional requested services.

* those platform require credit to be able to send messages. The SBTF may be able to provide the initial credit to set up the accounts but to be able to guarantee a sustainable system the organization calling for the activation of the SBTF should provide the necessary credit.
